Aizay can feed himself now, part 2.

He knows where to go, what cabinet to open, and although he can't open the Veggie Puffs canister yet, he can get his own Cheerios.

Okay, I admit that we at first tried to stage this one. We knew he could do it, so what would be the harm of faking it? So, we'd focus the camera, count to three, and let go of his arm for the shot before he fell on his keester. Got a few good ones, too--looked just like he was standing all by himself. Fortunately for our integrity, Aizay suddenly decided that he wanted no part of this trickery, and decided to do it on his own.

It's Aizay's new hat. We all spent a lot of time in the yard today, playing. Perhaps we should've been cleaning out the basement, but it was too nice out. Although in the background Christine's cleaning the car. She also cooked dinner for the entire week. Okay, okay, you caught me. I guess it'd be more accurate to say that Aizay should've been cleaning out the basement but it was too nice out. 

Cheese, glorious cheese!

Today is a monumental day. Besides being the 9th monthaversary of Aizay's birth, it is also the first day that my child has experienced the glorious taste of cheese. This photo commemorates the occasion. Dave believes that the pained expression and the pile of spit up cheese on his bib are evidence that Aizay didn't like the cheese. This is nothing short of blasphemy! No child of mine can dislike cheese. Besides, he picked up every piece of cheese on his tray and chewed on each of them before he spit them out. It must be a texture thing...

This is Aizay's giant tube we bought for him at IKEA. I think it's called Bërthcønal. Or something. As someone who was present at the birth, I can tell you that this will give you some idea of what happened. Sort of the Disneyized version.
