Not Breech
This is sort of what Coraline did except without the helping hands. She decided to flip on her own Friday night. That's the good news. However, they tell me I am likely to deliver late because I missed 2 weeks of the head putting pressure on my cervix. Like Aizay and Winnie the Pooh say, "Oh Bother!"

Resting comfortably
Christine's all ready for the external cephalic version...
UPDATE: ...which was unsuccessful. The docs pushed and pulled, but to no avail. Coraline stayed right in her current favorite position, head up and butt down. This is a procedure that most would describe as very uncomfortable, and it sure looked that way (I was horrified, watching). But Christine kept giggling at the absurdity of having seven people in the room, three of which were getting covered in ultrasound goop as they pushed and yanked. The nurse remarked, "I've never had one laugh before."

So much activity, so little accomplished.
Coraline is in breech position, so Christine was scheduled for a noon-time external version. But Aizay puked on the floor as we were preparing leave the house, so he couldn't go to daycare.
Fortunately, Abigail's mom, Hyo, was happy to take a sick kid into her care. We arranged to hand over Aizay a half-hour before the procedure in Christine's office to give Hyo Aizay's carseat, overnight bag. and stroller. This we did, and Aizay left with Hyo...and then they cancelled the procedure because there were no beds available because too many selfish women were giving birth just then. So I drove to Hyo's house, re-installed the carseat, and Aizay and I went home to nap. Abigail didn't look happy that Aizay had to go home when they'd just finished hugging each other in greeting.
We were joined by Christine after she got home from work (hence, the photo). And we'll do this all over again tomorrow. Hopefully without the puke.

WHOOOOOOOOOOO!
Aizay is at the starting line of the DOC (Doctors Ought to Care) Dash fundraiser for Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Johnson County. He had a great time clapping and cheering (he was introduced to the venerable WHOOOO! cheer) for the runners.
